As schools dismiss for the summer, Wisconsin public libraries are ramping up children's programs.
Hedberg Public Library in Janesville will offer
Tail Waggin' Tutors starting June 19. Elementary schoolchildren can read to Maggie, a Lhasa apso from Therapy Dogs International. Children can improve literacy skills -- and self-esteem -- by reading to furry friends.
