WLA Conference 2014

If you haven't signed up for this year's Wisconsin Library Association annual conference, we hope that you'll join us soon! This year's conference will be held November 4-7, 2014, at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells. 

The WLA Annual Conference is a premier educational event attracting more than 800 attendees from across Wisconsin, including directors, librarians, trustees, friends, support staff and others interested in libraries. Additional programs will also be co-sponsored by affiliate library organizations. It's going to be a terrific conference full of folks who love libraries.

SLJ Leadership Summit 2014

The 10th Annual SLJ Summit is coming to a place near Wisconsin in October. This event will be at the St. Paul Hotel in St. Paul, MN on October 25 & 26, 2014. The best part ... it's free for attendees! (You will need to pay for a hotel room if you're staying over at the hotel.)

‘Poverty Matters!’ Conference

WISCAP* is offering a 'Poverty Matters!' Conference on September 24, 2014 – September 24, 2014 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton, WI. Dog Days of Summer



As schools dismiss for the summer, Wisconsin public libraries are ramping up children's programs.

Hedberg Public Library in Janesville will offer Tail Waggin' Tutors starting June 19. Elementary schoolchildren can read to Maggie, a Lhasa apso from Therapy Dogs International. Children can improve literacy skills -- and self-esteem -- by reading to furry friends.
